Welcome to the Orcutt Bookstore at SCC


You can check to see what course material you need by clicking on the Textbook Lookup link located in the menu to the left.

You must present your registration form to obtain textbooks and course-required items.  Prices and required course material information is subject to change without notice.

As of Monday, May 18

  • the bookstore is currently open for business with a limit of 4 students allowed into the store at any time.
  • a table is located outside the store where students will be provided a mask.  Hand sanitizer is also provided outside and inside the store.
  • the floor is marked with appropriate social distancing guidelines.

Charges to Financial Aid Begin – Monday, October 12th End Friday, October 16th for the second 8 week session.

Full credit will be given for books, if:

  • Returned within 10 days from the first day of class (first session) during the spring and fall semesters, or
  • Within five days from the first day of class (first session) during summer semester, provided they are unopened (if packaged) and in new condition.

*Please keep kits sealed and wrapped textbooks unopened until attending class and confirming usage.

Books purchased with financial aid will be credited back to financial aid provided they are returned by the specified return date and are in new condition/unopened.

Textbooks purchased with cash, credit/debit cards or check after the specified final return date, may be returned within two days, provided the books are in new condition/unopened.  Two week check-clearing policy applies.

Purchases that have been paid by cash or credit/debit card will be refunded in cash if available.  Purchases paid by check must be returned within the specified two (2) weeks from the date of check, for check to clear.  If we are unable to provide a cash refund, you will be issued a refund by check, delivered via US mail.  Refunds issued by mail will take approximately 10-14 days.



May be exchanged up to 10 days from date of purchase. No cash refunds will be issued for general merchandise (i.e., apparel, supplies, electronics, etc.). General merchandise/electronics must be in new condition with original tags/unopened (if applicable). Sale items are non-returnable. General merchandise found to be defective after the 10-day period must be returned to the manufacturer, by the buyer according to the product’s warranty information.
